Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant to join Rowe Vets, Yate, on a part-time permanent basis. You’ll work with a clinical team and friendly reception staff in a true community practice.

You’ll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling, maintain areas and equipment, and help deliver a compassionate experience for pets and their owners.

• Reliability and motivation; team player with interest in veterinary environment
• Good communication and ability to work with colleagues and clients
• Strong organisational skills to manage tasks in a busy practice
• Willingness to learn and develop; prior animal care experience is advantageous

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at Rowe Vets, Yateon a part-time permanent basis.

You’ll be working alongside a dedicated clinical team of experienced vets and nurses, all supported by an amazing front-of-house reception team who keep everything running smoothly. We pride ourselves on being a true community practice – we know our clients and their pets, and we genuinely care about both.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Working Pattern

8-130 or 130-7 Monday, Tuesday and Fridays (x3 5.5hrs) In accordance with the rota either AM or PM 8-415 Wednesdays with 1 hour unpaid lunch (x1 7.25hrs) Weekends 1 in 3 9-1pm at Yate

• A proactive attitude to learning, with openness to feedback and development
• Experience of working with animals in either a clinical or non-clinical setting would be advantageous
