Job summary

Martin & Carr Vets - Pershore is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant to join our community practice. This full-time fixed-term role supports the clinical team, with duties including inpatient care, patient handling, and maintaining clinical areas.

You'll work 40 hours weekly across a 5-day rota at Pershore and Evesham surgeries in a friendly, supportive environment that values development and animal welfare.

Qualifications

• Caring, professional approach with genuine interest in animal welfare.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks in a busy environment.
• Proactive attitude to learning with openness to feedback and development.
• Experience of working with animals in either a clinical or non-clinical setting would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support inpatient care under supervision of a Veterinary Surgeon or RVN.
• Assist with patient handling and restraint.
• Maintain clinical areas and equipment.
• Contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for patients and clients.
