Job summary

VC Evidensia UK is seeking an Animal Care Assistant at Abington Park Vets in Northampton. This full-time role supports the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, and helps ensure the practice runs smoothly and safely.

The successful candidate will work under a Veterinary Surgeon or RVN, assist with inpatient care, patient handling, and maintain areas and equipment, while offering a compassionate experience.

Qualifications

• Reliable and motivated team player with an interest in veterinary care.
• Good communication skills for collaboration with colleagues and clients.
• Strong organisational skills for a busy environment.
• Proactive attitude to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
• Experience with animals in a clinical or non-clinical setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support inpatient care under supervision of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Assist with patient handling and restraint.
• Help maintain clinical areas and equipment.
• Contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for patients and clients.
