Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Wimbledon practice.

Our busy small animal practice is located in Wimbledon, southwest London, with excellent travel links. We serve nearly 2000 active clients, with over 20% on healthcare plans, providing a wide variety of cases weekly. Our practice is modern, spacious, air-conditioned, and equipped with digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

We seek a team player eager to learn and contribute. We offer training and support to help you become an integral team member.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness, monitoring in-patients, conducting clinical tests, managing stock, handling small animals, assisting with surgeries, deep cleaning, and communicating with clients both in person and over the phone. Good communication skills and basic computer literacy are essential, along with some animal handling experience.

This full-time role involves 40 hours per week, with no current OOH or weekend shifts, offering a great work-life balance. We are considering adding Saturday mornings to the rota soon.
