Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Wimbledon practice.

About Us

We are a busy small animal practice based in Wimbledon, southwest London, with excellent travel links. Our practice benefits from nearly 2000 active clients, including over 20% on a healthcare plan, providing a wide variety of cases weekly. The practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned, and purpose-built to industry standards, equipped with digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

What We're Looking For

A team player who is willing to get involved, work hard, and eager to learn. We provide training and support to help you become an integral part of our team.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintaining cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of the clinic.
  2. Feeding and monitoring in-patients.
  3. Running clinical tests and managing stock.
  4. Handling a variety of small animals.
  5. Assisting with surgical setups and deep cleaning.
  6. Communicating with clients both on the phone and in person.
Requirements
  • Good verbal communication skills and basic computer literacy.
  • Previous experience in animal handling.
  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no current out-of-hours or weekend work. Future inclusion of Saturday mornings may be considered.
