Job summary

Dematic seeks a commercially minded Vertical Market Strategy Leader to shape growth across key industry sectors and connect customer challenges with winning solutions. You will work with Market Development Directors, Sales Leaders and Business Development to translate insights into compelling growth opportunities.

The role requires managing strategy, market development, sales alignment, and global go-to-market initiatives, with travel up to 35% year across EMEA and occasional US meetings.

Qualifications

• Commercially minded with understanding of supply chain, logistics, warehousing or automation environments.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in material handling, warehouse automation, logistics or related industry.
• Experience in strategy, market development, sales, business development, project management, marketing or operations.
• Knowledge of warehouse/distribution operations and their commercial/operational challenges.
• Experience selling, project managing or running operations in General Merchandise, Food & Beverage, Grocery or Durables industries.
• Understanding of warehouse automation technologies such as AutoStore, AS/RS, shuttle systems, AMRs and pallet shuttle solutions.
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills with confidence to present to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of customer challenges, operational priorities and market trends across key vertical markets.
• Translate customer requirements and insights into narratives, growth opportunities and actionable recommendations.
• Partner with Sales, Business Development and Market Development leaders to support strategic growth.
• Create presentations, reports, dashboards and market intelligence for decision-making and engagement.
• Present confidently to internal stakeholders, senior leaders and customers.
• Support go-to-market strategies across priority industries.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Align Sales, Marketing, Strategy and Commercial teams to ensure coherence across the business.
• Support industry events, customer engagements and trade exhibitions across EMEA.
