Job summary

Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is hiring an MRO Vertical Lift Mechanical Technician to support major UK programmes such as Apache, Chinook, C-17, P-8A and E7 Wedgetail. You’ll work in a maintenance team, ensure adherence to approved data, record-keeping and regulatory compliance, and deliver tasks to schedule.

The role requires a recognised trade apprenticeship, strong English, good communication, and the ability to interpret technical documents.

Qualifications

• Fluent written and spoken English
• Recognised trade apprenticeship or equivalent
• Experience in general aircraft maintenance, defence or commercial sectors
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks as directed by supervision
• Interpret technical information and ensure work complies with data and approvals
• Execute aircraft maintenance to meet milestones with quality
• Disassemble/assemble/modify/repair aircraft systems and components
• Upgrade aerospace components to implement changes or fix failures
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical/electronic systems
• Mentor apprentices/trainees as directed
• Escalate risks and participate in continuous improvement activities
