Job summary

Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is seeking a Technician to join the MRO team supporting major UK programmes like Apache, Chinook, C-17, P-8A and E7 Wedgetail. You will ensure adherence to Approved Technical Data, correct certification and regulatory compliance.

You’ll work in a collaborative environment, demonstrate strong communication, and mentor apprentices while contributing to continuous improvement and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Recognised trade apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Knowledge of aviation maintenance processes and safety practices.
• Experience in commercial or defence environments preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Able to work in a team and deliver to schedule.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assigned maintenance tasks following Approved Technical Data and proper certification.
• Execute aircraft maintenance to meet milestones and manage workloads.
• Deliver maintenance under MAA MRP Part 145 or MOD approval.
• Disassemble, modify or repair aircraft systems/structures and upgrade components.
• Troubleshoot complex aircraft systems to isolate faults.
• Mentor apprentices and trainees as directed.
• Mitigate risks and escalate issues promptly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain open reporting culture.
