Supremesearchspecialists in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive small animal practice. The role offers full-time or part-time flexibility with a salary of up to £70,000 FTE, depending on experience.

Full-time hours are 39 per week, with part-time patterns of 34 or 24 hours, and a 1 in 4 weekend rota with no out-of-hours work. The caseload is balanced between surgery and medicine, with opportunities for CPD.

Qualifications

• Must be a Veterinary Surgeon with strong all‑round general practice skills.
• Confident handling medical and surgical cases.
• Excellent communication with clients and team.
• Support for CPD and certificates.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality first-opinion veterinary care.
• Conduct medical consultations and clinical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage a varied small animal caseload.
• Perform routine surgical procedures.
• Gain exposure to occasional orthopaedic procedures.
• Take responsibility for cases from initial consultation to completion.
• Work confidently when sole charge is required.
• Build strong relationships with patients, clients and colleagues.
• Develop individual clinical interests through CPD and further training.
• Utilise diagnostic equipment effectively.
• Maintain high standards of patient welfare and clinical care.
• Collaborate with the veterinary and nursing team.
