Supremesearchspecialists is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our Hemel Hempstead practice. The role offers 20–30 hours per week with flexible days, combining medicine and surgery in a supportive small-animal team.

You’ll deliver high-quality care in a busy clinic, with no out-of-hours duties and no Sundays, and you’ll work alongside colleagues to maintain clinical excellence. The practice provides a varied caseload, a collaborative culture, and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• RCVS registration or eligible to register in the UK.
• Prior UK small animal general practice experience.
• Confident with routine consultations and procedures.
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to ongoing CPD and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality first-opinion veterinary care across a varied small animal caseload.
• Conduct thorough consultations using 20-minute appointment slots.
• Diagnose and manage medical cases appropriately.
• Perform routine surgical procedures confidently.
• Develop diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Provide continuity of care and follow-up for patients.
• Utilise dedicated administration time effectively.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients.
• Build strong professional relationships with colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team.
• Maintain high standards of clinical care and patient welfare.
