Job summary

The Hyde Group is looking for an experienced Plumber who can handle multi-trade repairs in customers' homes in Islington. You will focus on plumbing, perform general maintenance, and deliver high-quality service while working independently with other trades on complex projects.

The role requires solid plumbing experience, comfort with hand and power tools, a customer-friendly approach, and a valid UK driving licence. The position includes a pension, life assurance, and company van.

Qualifications

• Solid experience across plumbing with ability to undertake other general maintenance and multi-trade repairs.
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Able to work independently and manage workload
• Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude
• Physically fit and happy with hands-on work
• Experience working in social housing is a bonus
• A full, valid UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Carrying out multi-trade repairs, with a primary focus on plumbing, and general maintenance as required.
• Diagnosing and resolving day-to-day plumbing repairs (leaks, blockages, taps, toilets, sinks, baths, showers, pipework, waste systems).
• Completing plumbing repairs and associated works to kitchens, bathrooms and other areas of customers' homes.
• Undertaking associated works such as sealing, patch plastering, minor tiling, replacing fixtures and fittings, and making good after repairs.
• Working independently to manage your own workload while collaborating with other trades on more complex repairs and projects.
• Accurately recording work completed, materials used, and updating progress through work orders and reporting systems.
• Delivering excellent customer service and keeping residents informed throughout the repair process.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with Hyde's health and safety policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Providing a professional, friendly service to customers in their homes.
