Job summary

YMCA Bournemouth is seeking a Painter, Decorator and Maintenance Worker to join our team in the Poole, Bournemouth, Broadstone and Studland area. This part-time role focuses on maintaining and presenting YMCA Bournemouth’s properties and facilities.

Key duties include painting interior and exterior surfaces, assisting with maintenance tasks, and supporting compliance checks and stock management. The role requires working within the Building Services department and following health and safety

Responsibilities

• Painting interior and exterior of YMCA Bournemouth premises
• Assisting with maintenance tasks and keeping accurate job records
• Supporting planned preventative maintenance according to schedule
• Carrying out non-specialist repairs including tiling, carpentry, and plumbing
• Assisting with statutory tests (legionella checks, fire extinguisher inspections, fire door checks) and other compliance tests
• Maintaining workshop and stores area; assisting with stock checks and ordering materials
