Job summary

Guardsman Security Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join the hotel maintenance team. The role involves painting walls, repairing fixtures, and supporting larger projects as needed.

You will work with another team member on some tasks, and independently on others, ensuring timely responses to painting repairs and ongoing maintenance. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of relevant experience, strong communication, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience performing a similar maintenance/handyman role is preferred (minimum 1 year).
• Good communication skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.

Job Description
Painter & Decorator
We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Maintenance Technician to manage all maintenance, servicing and repairs to the hotel facilities. A maintenance person’s day-to-day job is extremely varied and could see you painting a wall one day and repairing a broken toilet the next. You will work alongside another member of the Maintenance team as many work needed as a team to move large items or completing a bigger project, but most occasions will be carrying task on your own.
Tasks Will Also Include:
To be able to respond speedily to reactive painting & decorating repairs both inside and outside the Hotel.
Be able to maintain a maintenance program for the hotels painting & decorating.
Will be able to order materials in order to respond efficiently to work requests.
Be prepared to support and work alongside the maintenance team in meeting higher priority works.
Assembling and Moving furniture
Hours of work: We are looking for someone to work Full-time 6 days a week
Rate of Pay: To exceed minimum wages - Depending on experience and qualification
Who we are looking for: We are looking for somebody who has experience of performing a similar role of at least 1 year. Ideally you will be a handy person or have worked in a particular trade previously. You will be a good communicator with a keen eye for detail and be customer focused at all times.
