Job summary

REESON Education is working with a Tottenham primary school in North London to appoint a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant to start from mid-November 2026. The role covers the full primary age range, EYFS through to Year 6, with responsibilities including covering classes, delivering planned lessons, and maintaining a calm, inclusive learning environment.

Ideal candidates will have prior UK primary cover experience, strong behaviour management, and the ability to hit the ground running.

Qualifications

• Previous UK primary school experience covering classes - essential.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom presence.
• Ability to cover EYFS to KS2 with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Cover classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Deliver lessons using plans and resources provided by the class teacher.
• Take full responsibility for the classroom when covering.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and pupil engagement.
• Adapt quickly to different year groups and environments.
• Work effectively with Teaching Assistants and staff.
• Support pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
