Weldon Village Academy is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to join our growing school, opening in 2023. You will deliver lessons when teachers are absent, following prepared plans and using flexibility and warmth with students.

This 32.5-hour-per-week, term-time role sits on Meridian Pay Scale Grade 6, with annual salary from £20,575.28, and a 39-week school year. Join a supportive Meridian Trust community focused on high standards and student achievement.

Qualifications

• Good educational background with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in education or with school environments is desirable.
• Comfortable using IT tools such as MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons when teachers are unavailable, following prepared plans.
• Be flexible, confident and empathetic when switching subjects across the curriculum.
• Contribute to planning, delivery and assessment to support student achievement.
• Provide constructive feedback on learning activities and participate in development planning.
