Job summary

Weldon Village Academy, part of Meridian Trust, seeks a dedicated Cover Supervisor to fill in for teachers and deliver engaging lessons. The role supports 32.5 hours per week during term-time plus training days, fostering a dynamic learning environment for pupils across years 7–11.

The successful candidate will be flexible, patient and organised, able to adapt between subjects, work well in a team, and maintain confidentiality while contributing to student achievement.

Qualifications

• Good educational background with strong written and oral communication.
• Experience in education or related sector.
• Knowledge of using IT software such as Microsoft Office and Email.
• Confidentiality awareness and safeguarding understanding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective lessons when teachers are unavailable to teach their normal lessons.
• Support planning and evaluation of work set for covering lessons.
• Provide valuable feedback on learning activities and contribute to development planning.
