Job Description

What will you be doing?

Join us as a Verification & Validation Engineer and play a key role in delivering confidence to some of the most highly regulated, safety-critical systems in the UK. This is your chance to influence the reliability of groundbreaking nuclear technology—where proving a product works is just as important as designing it in the first place.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Developing smart, robust V&V strategies and plans—right from requirements to final validation.
• Carrying out or reviewing verification activities like analysis, inspections, and tests.
• Reviewing technical evidence to assess compliance with system requirements.
• Working closely with design teams to make sure systems meet the safety and performance needs of a regulated environment.
• Applying your engineering know-how to safety-critical hardware, from mechanical systems to HVAC and beyond.

• Strong technical writing and communication skills—you’ll be reviewing and reporting on critical evidence.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline – such as Aerospace Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
• Familiarity with codes such as ASME, ACI, ASCE, ANSI, and British/European Standards.
