About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Whitley, who are seeking a Functional Safety Validation Engineer to join their team.

Duties:

• Verify the functional safety of battery management controls software.
• Serve as a Specialist Professional (P4), a recognized subject matter expert in the field, typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.

Responsibilities typically include:

• Coordinate activities among stakeholders to deliver safety-related verification tasks.
• Maintain a consistent approach and technical solutions across projects where possible.
• Ensure compliance with ISO26262 (Part 6) / (Parts 4 & 5).
• Tackle complex and challenging problems.

Skills:

• Technical knowledge of ISO26262 (Part 6) / (Parts 4 & 5).

Education:

• Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred.
