Job summary

Worcestershire County Cricket Club in Worcester is seeking a reliable Venue Operations Porter to support catering, hospitality and event operations on a full-time basis. The role focuses on set‑ups, safety, and delivering high-quality service for matches and events.

You will move furniture, prepare spaces, assist with break‑downs, and work across mornings, evenings and weekends. A flexible, team‑oriented approach and commitment to inclusivity and customer care are essential to thrive at New Road.

Qualifications

• Experience in event setup or hospitality is desirable.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and matchdays.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up rooms and event spaces according to function sheets and manager instructions.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linen, staging and catering stations as required.
• Ensure rooms are clean, well-presented and ready before guests arrive.
• Support room turnarounds between events, meetings and matchdays.
• Move furniture and assist with general porter duties around the venue.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in catering areas.
