Job summary

Octopus Energy in the UK invites you to join our field sales team as a Venue Sales Representative. You’ll engage customers face-to-face at venues, explain tariffs and low-carbon tech, and help households switch with confidence.

No prior sales experience required—training is provided. If you enjoy talking to people, building relationships and delivering great customer service, we’d love to hear from you. A valid driving license is required to travel between venues.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers on a face-to-face basis to promote tariffs and low-carbon technologies.
• Promote energy tariffs and products such as solar, heat pumps and EVs.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming experience for every new customer.
• Build genuine connections and help customers make informed energy choices.
• Travel between venues to meet customers across locations.
• Support customers who are considering switching to Octopus Energy.

Octopus Energy has exciting opportunities to join our field sales team as a Venues Sales Representative. We’re changing the landscape of traditional field sales and marketing and reinventing customer interactions. We're focused on making energy greener and better, for everyone.

You’ll be at the frontline of our brand and as such, you’re responsible for showing the best of Octopus Energy and all we have to offer the public! You’ll meet lots of different people, build genuine connections and help customers make choices that are right for them.

• As a Venue Sales Representative, you will directly engage with customers on a face to face basis, to promote our energy tariffs and low carbon technologies, such as solar panels, heat pumps and electric vehicles.
• Our Energy Helpers help introduce these local communities to Octopus Energy as a preferred potential supplier by comparing service and products with other energy companies. This helps potential customers make an informed choice on whether they’d benefit from switching to us for their energy supply at their homes.
• Your role will be to make every conversation count, delivering outstanding customer service while creating a welcoming and positive experience for every new customer you bring on board.

• While sales experience is preferred don't let it put you off if you don't have any, we will help you with that! But if you enjoy talking to people, building relationships and helping customers, we’d love to hear from you.

• You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room to be great at Field Sales. We’re looking for people who are confident in their own way, great listeners and genuinely interested in connecting with others.

• A positive, approachable and confident communication style

• Experience in a customer centric setting where you have come up with quick and effective customer solutions

• A confident person who is willing to approach customers and maximise every customer interaction

• You love humans, and bringing customers a little bit of joy by making something easy makes your heart sing

• A driving license in order to travel to all our different venues situated across the locations

• £27,300 salary per year + unlimited commission
