Job summary

The University of Salford, within its Digital Services department, seeks an experienced IT Vendor & Supplier Relationship Manager to lead supplier contracts and commercial relationships. You will work with Digital & IT, Procurement, Finance and Legal to manage performance, support contract development and renewals, and identify commercial risks and opportunities.

This hybrid role requires regular on-campus attendance, with the successful candidate aligned to this commitment.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing technology vendors, contracts and commercial relationships.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to challenge and negotiate with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic relationships with the University’s technology vendors and suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for supplier performance, commercial engagement and contractual matters.
• Manage the full lifecycle of technology vendor contracts, coordinating renewals, variations and governance activities with Procurement and Legal Services.
• Lead vendor performance management to ensure SLAs, KPIs and contractual obligations are met through regular performance reviews and QBRs.
