Job summary

Activate Group Limited is seeking a Yardsman to join Activate Accident Repair in Kings Langley. You will maintain a clean yard, park vehicles in appropriate bays, and handle customer-facing duties with care and efficiency.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, strong organisation, and effective communication. Working 45 hours per week (Mon-Fri) with a salary of £34,632 per annum, plus benefits and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with appropriate category for duties.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Experience in logistics or yard operations is desirable.
• Experience assessing vehicles and noting damages is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional and courteous with customers and colleagues.
• Meticulous attention to vehicles, spaces and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles in/out and position them in valid spaces.
• Move cars around the yard as required.
• Take images of vehicles and mark visible damage on tablet/paperwork.
• Obtain customer signatures before release of vehicles.
• Hand over courtesy cars and complete related paperwork.
• Ensure courtesy cars are clean and fueled.
• Pass paperwork to Reception for system updates.
• Keep the yard tidy, safe and well organised at all times.
• Travel to local offsite compounds to collect/deliver vehicles as needed.
• Occasionally wash vehicles prior to collection.
• Provide professional and efficient customer service at all times.
• Report accidents or incidents to Bodyshop Manager promptly.
