Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager in the Sheffield S11 area. This role suits a Vehicle Technician, Senior Technician or Workshop Supervisor aiming to progress into a Technical Assistant Manager while allocating work and supporting Technicians.

You will oversee daily workshop workload, perform servicing, repairs and diagnostics, and assist customers. A Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Vehicle Technician or Senior Technician, with supervisory potential.
• Strong all‑round technical ability and leadership skills.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Allocate jobs and organise the daily workshop workload.
• Support and guide Technicians with technical issues.
• Carry out servicing, repairs and diagnostics when required.
• Complete quality checks and final vehicle inspections.
• Help keep the workshop productive and running efficiently.
• Support customers and front‑of‑house operations when needed.
• Step up and support the Centre Manager with day‑to‑day running.
