Job summary

Hawk Hiring in the Sittingbourne area is seeking a qualified automotive technician. You will service, diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles, using modern diagnostic equipment to identify faults and perform repairs.

Monday–Friday, no weekend work, with secure on-site parking and ongoing skills training. The role offers a guaranteed base salary between £35,000 and £45,000, dependent on experience, plus a pension and 28 days holiday.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair required.
• Proven hands-on workshop experience in an independent garage or dealership.
• Logical fault-finding and pride in clean, accurate work.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, inspection checks, and vehicle maintenance across a range of makes and models.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Executing core mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, clutch, timing belts/chains and steering.
• Preparing vehicles for MOT tests and rectifying failures.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and safety on all repairs.
