Job summary

Halfords is hiring a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in the United Kingdom. You will service and repair vehicles, including clutches, timing belts and diagnostics, and work on electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

The role offers a base salary of £32,000 with an uncapped monthly/annual bonus averaging £6,600 and on-target earnings up to £38,600. This position includes a strong benefits package and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience.
• Must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair work including clutches and timing belt replacements.
• Perform diagnostics on various systems including electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.
• Progress to more complex tasks as skills develop and contribute to quick turnarounds.
