Halfords is hiring a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in Poole, Dorset, United Kingdom. The role focuses on servicing and repair, including clutch and timing belt work, with opportunities to tackle diagnostics in electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

You’ll join the UK’s leading motoring services and benefit from a comprehensive package, including a base salary up to £36,620 and an uncapped monthly bonus average of £6,600 per year, plus a range of staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience carrying out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles, including replacement work.
• Handle more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements.
• Carry out diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension systems.
