Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for our Fusion centres in the UK. You will service, repair and diagnose vehicles, including brakes, steering and electrical systems, and take on more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements.

This full-time role offers a base salary of £32,000 plus an uncapped monthly bonus averaging £6,600 per year, with on-target earnings up to £38,600.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driver's licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical).

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing and repair work including diagnostics on brakes, steering/suspension, engine and electrical systems.
• Carry out more complex repairs such as clutches and timing belt replacements and related diagnostics.
