Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician in Guildford. The role offers a competitive base salary up to £37,000 with uncapped earning potential through bonuses and overtime, plus opportunities for manufacturer accreditation and career progression.

The position is a standard 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with one in four Saturday mornings paid at overtime rates. A supportive team environment and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic with strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to undertake brand and EV accreditation training.
• Experience with diagnostics, MOT testing, EV systems advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle health checks and inspections following manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform scheduled servicing including oil changes and tyre rotations.
• Carry out minor repairs, fittings, and basic electrical/mechanical diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate paperwork for services and repairs.
• Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify faults and identify further issues.
• Support warranty repairs and assist customers professionally.
