Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician for a traditional family-run independent garage. You will diagnose faults, service and repair a wide range of vehicles while maintaining paperwork and safety standards.

This role offers a salary up to £35,000, overtime at enhanced rate, 20 days plus 8 bank holidays, training opportunities and clear career progression within a well-established local business. Hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience as Vehicle Technician or mechanic with diagnostic capability.
• Fault finding, servicing and repairs expertise.
• IMI/NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred but not essential.
• Reliable and organised with a methodical approach to work.
• Able to work well in a team and commute to Cowbridge.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults, service, maintain and repair vehicles.
• Complete paperwork accurately and in line with standards.
• Communicate faults to Workshop Manager.
• Maintain high workmanship and health and safety standards.
• Contribute to team efficiency and uphold the company’s reputation for quality service.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines to prioritise vehicle safety and performance.
• Support the Workshop Manager with additional tasks as required.
