Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for our Autocentres in Brighton, East Sussex. You will be skilled in servicing and repair work and able to perform more complex tasks such as clutches, timing belt replacements and diagnostics.

The role requires a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience, plus a full driving licence with ≤9 points. A base salary and uncapped bonus scheme are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced technician with diagnostic capabilities in brakes, steering/suspension, engine and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work, including more complex tasks as needed.
• Perform diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brakes, steering and suspension systems.
