Job summary

Kemp Recruitment are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester in Salford, Manchester. A permanent full-time position offering a basic salary up to £32,000 with OTE up to £42,000 and a structured bonus scheme.

Join a busy workshop at a major dealer group and work with the latest diagnostic equipment to service, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards. Requires IMI/NVQ Level 3 and MOT licence, with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 IMI / NVQ Vehicle Technician is required.
• MOT Tester licence is essential.
• Previous main dealer or workshop experience is beneficial.
• Strong technical and problem‑solving skills are required.
• Attention to detail and a team‑focused attitude is essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and maintenance of customer vehicles.
• Mechanical repairs and fault finding.
• Vehicle health checks and identifying additional work required.
• Completing repairs safely, efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
• Using diagnostic equipment and workshop systems.
• Keeping accurate job records.
• Working closely with Service Advisors and the wider workshop team.
• Carrying out MOT testing.
