Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Macclesfield is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join a busy, well-established automotive workshop. This role offers a competitive salary and a varied workload in a professional working environment.

You will perform MOT tests to DVSA standards, carry out servicing and mechanical repairs, diagnose faults and use diagnostic equipment. A Level 3 NVQ and UK driving licence are required; MOT licence preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester.
• MOT Tester licence preferred.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Completing servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carrying out timing belts, clutches, brakes and suspension work.
• Using diagnostic equipment to investigate vehicle issues.
• Identifying faults and recommending appropriate repairs.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
