Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd in York is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop. You'll work Monday to Friday 8am–6pm, carrying out servicing and repairs on a range of vehicles, and completing health checks and safety inspections.

You will use mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, document work with accurate job cards, and benefit from full manufacturer training including EV. Previous vehicle technician experience required and NVQ/IMI Level 2/3 in light vehicle

Qualifications

• Automotive NVQ / IMI level 2/3 in light vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Good mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Experience carrying out vehicle servicing and repairs.
• Ability to work independently within a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete vehicle health checks and safety inspections.
• Identify additional repairs and maintenance requirements.
• Complete accurate job cards and workshop documentation.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
