Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician for a long-established automotive group with a strong dealer network. The role focuses on servicing, diagnostics and repairs to high standards in a busy workshop.

You will work within a supportive team, following manufacturer guidelines, and contribute to customer satisfaction through precise workmanship and clear communication with Service Advisors.

Qualifications

• Level 3 IMI, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in a dealership, franchise or busy workshop environment

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs accurately in line with manufacturer, dealership and safety standards.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to identify faults and complete effective repair work.
• Record inspection results, repair recommendations and completed work clearly on job cards and digital systems.
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors, workshop control and colleagues so customers receive clear updates.
• Complete work within agreed timescales while maintaining quality, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Support a professional, team-focused workshop culture and help ensure vehicles leave the workshop performing at their best.

Job description

Shift and schedule: 40-hour working week, with rota patterns, Saturdays or flexible arrangements depending on site requirements
