Job summary

Lookers Blackburn Volkswagen are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their workshop. You will carry out vehicle health checks, services and repairs, reporting to the Aftersales Manager with support for ongoing training.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a mechanic, be self-motivated and eager to learn, and hold a full UK driving licence with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Brand accreditation training is provided to accelerate your career.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a mechanic is preferred.
• Self-motivated, ambitious and eager to learn while maintaining high standards.
• Must have a full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology.
• Carrying out vehicle services in line with manufacturers’ guidelines and customer requests.
• Carrying out additional repairs as authorised by the customer.
• Completing warranty repairs per manufacturer guidelines.
• Taking customers’ vehicles on road tests to verify faults are rectified.
• Completing relevant paperwork to a high standard.
