Job summary

Lookers Gateshead Kia is recruiting a qualified Vehicle Technician or experienced Mechanic to join our busy workshop. You will perform vehicle health checks, services and repairs using the latest technology, while delivering high standards of customer service.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and you will work 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00) with 1 in 3 Saturdays. Training and career progression are supported through manufacturer accredited schemes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Vehicle Technician or equivalent experience in a workshop.
• Experience carrying out pre-delivery inspections and services.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on vehicles.
• Perform servicing and routine maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
• Fit accessories and carry out repairs as requested by customers.
• Conduct health checks and report further work required.
• Complete all paperwork to a high standard.
