Hawk Hiring LTD is recruiting a Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic for a busy, high-spec workshop. The role covers routine servicing, fault-finding and repairs across our Dartford and Welling branches in a modern, professional setting.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of hands-on garage experience, formal qualifications (NVQ2/3) or MOT cards, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and upskill. UK driving licence and tools are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on garage experience servicing, brakes and general repairs.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or MOT Smart Cards welcome, solid time-served experience valued.
• Confident mechanical aptitude with eagerness to upskill.
• Full UK driving licence required and own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, fault-finding and repairs in a clean workshop environment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out repairs to high standards.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (dependent on experience; ambitious improvers and top-tier master techs welcome)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM — STRICTLY NO WEEKENDS

Role Overview

Seeking a Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic (ranging from improvers with 2+ years of hands-on experience up to senior techs) to handle routine maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs in a clean, state-of-the- art workshop environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on garage experience performing vehicle servicing, brakes, and general repairs.
• Formal qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3) or active MOT Smart Cards are welcome and command top-tier pay, but solid time-served experience and a great work ethic matter most!
• Confident mechanical aptitude with a desire to continuously learn and upskill.
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.

• Base: Choice of location between our Dartford or Welling branches (Free secure on-site parking at both)
• Road Links: Strategic position with rapid access via the A2, A20, and M25 corridors.
• Commutable From: Dartford, Welling, Bexleyheath, Erith, Crayford, Sidcup, Greenwich, Gravesend, and Abbey Wood.
