Hawk Hiring LTD invites applications from experienced Vehicle Technicians to join a friendly, family-run independent garage in Beckenham. You will service, diagnose and repair a range of vehicles, taking pride in quality workmanship and safety.

A methodical fault-finding approach and the ability to work independently are essential. Salary ranges from £30,000 to £40,000 per year, with full-time, permanent employment, on-site parking, and a company pension.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent automotive qualification is advantageous.
• Experience with modern diagnostic equipment is preferred.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently.

Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a friendly, down-to-earth team?

We’re looking for a skilled technician to join our established, family-run independent garage in Beckenham.

What the job involves

You’ll work on a variety of vehicles, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and mechanical repairs.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine servicing and vehicle maintenance.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing repairs across a range of vehicle makes and models.
• Using diagnostic equipment and your technical knowledge to identify problems.
• Carrying out vehicle inspections and road tests where required.
• Identifying additional work and communicating findings clearly.
• Completing work efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
• Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe.

You’ll be trusted to take responsibility for your work, use your initiative and approach each job professionally.

What we’re looking for

We want someone who knows their trade, takes pride in doing the job properly and can be relied upon.

You should have:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Motor Mechanic.
• Strong practical mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• The ability to carry out repairs independently.
• A methodical approach to fault-finding and problem-solving.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• A reliable, positive and professional attitude.
• The ability to work well independently and alongside colleagues.

An NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent automotive qualification would be an advantage, as would experience with modern diagnostic equipment and electrical fault-finding.

Above all, we’re looking for a technician who takes ownership of their work and understands the importance of getting the job right.
