Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Thurrock is looking for IMI Level 2 qualified mechanics to join our permanent workshop team. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet including LCVs and HGVs, using your own toolkit and supported by our modern facilities.

You will work a 39.5-hour week with a rotating shift pattern and some weekend work. Overtime is paid at 1.4x; eligible for a competitive pension and benefits package.

Qualifications

• IMI Level 2 qualification in light or heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Experience working on a wide range of vehicles, including LCV/HGV.
• Own toolkit for standard repairs and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicles and equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance using personal toolkit and available workshop tools.
• Utilise specialist tooling in a modern, fully equipped workshop.
