Job summary

Royal Mail Group is recruiting a fully qualified IMI Level 3 vehicle mechanic for Thurrock Workshop on a permanent contract. The role offers a salary of £44,345 with potential earnings up to £70,000 including overtime, and requires full-time, 39.5 hours per week in a rotating shift pattern.

You will inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair a range of vehicles and equipment while using your own toolkit and accessing specialist workshop tooling.

Qualifications

• IMI Level 3 qualification in Light or Heavy vehicle (or equivalent).
• Experience servicing and repairing a range of vehicles, including LCV/HGV.
• Full manual UK driving licence (HGV preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles, trailers and equipment.
• Use personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repairs.
• Utilise specialist tooling and workshop equipment.
