Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting a fully qualified IMI Level 3 mechanic for the Thurrock Workshop on a permanent contract. You will perform inspections, diagnostics and repairs on a range of vehicles and trailers, using your own toolkit with access to specialist workshop tools.

The role includes weekend work on a 1 in 3 schedule and overtime opportunities. The position offers a competitive package with pension, holidays, training plans and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic required.
• Proven experience as a vehicle technician on a wide range of vehicles (LCV/HGV).
• Full/manual UK driving licence required; HGV licence with trailer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostic work, maintenance and repair on vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs using personal toolkit; access to specialist tools and equipment in modern workshops.
