Job summary

Royal Mail in Thurrock is hiring a qualified vehicle mechanic for a permanent, full-time role in our workshop. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles, using your own toolkit and access to specialist workshop equipment.

The position requires IMI Level 2 in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance, a full UK manual driving licence, and flexibility to cover shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• IMI Level 2 qualification required or equivalent.
• Own toolkit for repairs.
• Full UK manual driving licence required.
• Flexible to service demands.
• Experience on light/heavy vehicles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Use personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repairs.
• Access specialist tooling and shared workshop equipment.
