Job summary

Steven Eagell Group is recruiting a Vehicle Technician to service, diagnose and repair vehicles to Toyota GB standards. You will inspect, report defects, and work efficiently within a busy centre.

You’ll communicate with customers, train apprentices, and participate in ongoing training to maintain technical expertise. A permanent, full-time role with a strong benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Level 2 Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• MOT Tester qualification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with Toyota GB technical standards, ensuring high-quality work and an excellent customer experience.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose faults, including non-routine issues, using your technical knowledge and the latest technologies.
• Identify and report defects in accordance with MOT (Department of Environment) and Vehicle Safety Report (VSR) requirements.
• Complete all work within the allocated time, maintaining strong productivity and efficiency.
• Take responsibility for tools and workshop equipment, ensuring daily care and reporting any defects.
• Follow all Toyota and Centre processes, working safely and professionally at all times.
• Communicate with customers when required, building rapport and clearly explaining work needed or completed.
• Support and coach apprentice technicians, providing guidance and helping to develop their skills.
• Attend required specialist training to maintain and develop technical expertise.
• Work collaboratively as part of the Centre team to deliver a seamless, outstanding service to customers.
