Job summary

Halfords in Manchester is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our Autocentres team. You will service and repair vehicles, perform diagnostics, and handle parts replacements across brakes, steering, suspension and engine systems.

The role requires a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, a full driving licence with max 9 points, and a track record of competent diagnostic and repair work.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driver's licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician able to perform diagnostics (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and complex repairs (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical).

Responsibilities

• As a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, you will service and repair vehicles, carrying out scheduled servicing and repairs.
• You’ll undertake more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.
