Job summary

Lookers Limited in Stoke-on-Trent are recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join the BMW Stoke workshop. You will perform health checks using the latest technology, conduct vehicle services and carry out repairs as part of a collaborative service team.

The ideal candidate will hold a NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), have motor industry experience, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Motor industry experience (brand or non-brand).
• Full and valid UK driving licence.
• Brand accreditation training will be provided; EV experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on vehicles.
• Carrying out checks in line with manufacturers guidelines.
• Fit additional accessories requested by the customer.
• Perform vehicle health checks and report further work.
• Check lights, tyre pressure and mechanical/electrical components.
• Complete minor repairs on vehicles.
• Understand and perform basic diagnosis in mechanical and electrical work.
• Carry out vehicle service per guidelines and customer requests.
• Carry out approved repairs and road test when required.
• Complete relevant paperwork to a high standard.
