Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Vehicle Mechanic for a franchised dealership in Teesside. The role offers a competitive base salary up to £34,000 with realistic earnings up to £42,445 and an uncapped bonus scheme.

You will perform servicing, diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer standards, with training opportunities for Hybrid/EV and career progression in a professional workshop. Flexible working options include a fixed four-day week and Saturday overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and vehicle repairs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Conduct vehicle health checks using the latest technology.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and recommend repairs.
• Complete repairs once authorised by customers and perform warranty work as required.
• Undertake road tests to ensure repairs are successful and maintain accurate records.
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain an efficient workshop operation.
