Job summary

Lookers Preston Volkswagen are recruiting a Grade 3 Technician to join the workshop. You will perform health checks, services and repairs on vehicles, working with experienced colleagues to uphold high standards and customer service.

The role offers a 40-hour week, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, a structured pay scale, and training opportunities including brand accreditation and EV/Hybrid training to advance your career.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent is required.
• Diagnostic, MOT and EV experience is desirable but not essential.
• Full and valid UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Carry out checks in line with manufacturers’ guidelines.
• Fit additional accessories requested by the customer.
• Perform vehicle health checks and report further work if needed.
• Check lights, tyre pressures, and mechanical/electrical components.
• Complete minor repairs on vehicles.
• Carry out basic diagnosis in mechanical and electrical work.
• Carry out vehicle servicing per manufacturers’ guidelines and customer requests.
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard.
