Job summary

Jaguar Land Rover seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician to upgrade pre-production vehicles to retail standards, carrying out electrical, mechanical, body, trim and software rectification while diagnosing complex issues. Work in a specialist workshop with cutting-edge technology and contribute to global events showcasing JLR products.

The role operates on a day shift: Mon-Thu 07:00-15:30 and Fri 07:00-12:00, with potential future shift changes.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified skilled professional in a vehicle maintenance environment.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and electrical/mechanical servicing is required.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical faults and software rectification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct modifications and repairs to vehicles including mechanical evaluations and maintenance.
• Provide technical feedback, fault identification and diagnosis using diagnostic tools.
• Perform software download updates and Topix Cloud operations; diagnose and resolve complex vehicle issues.
• Carry out fault diagnostics and containment during model launches and production fleets.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations.
