Job summary

Halfords is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Leicestershire. You will service and repair vehicles, carry out diagnostics, and tackle complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt work, with potential for progression.

The role requires a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, plus a full UK driving licence. Expect an uncapped bonus scheme and a structured career path at Halfords.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must hold a full driver’s licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience as a technician/mechanic with diagnostic capability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work and more complex tasks.
• Perform diagnostics in areas such as brakes, steering/suspension, and engine.
• Deal with electrics, timing belt and clutch work as required.
