Job summary

Streamline Search Limited in Sunderland is seeking a Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join a well‑established independent garage with a loyal customer base. You will work on a wide range of vehicles, performing servicing, maintenance and diagnostics.

This is a varied, hands‑on role where you’ll diagnose faults, carry out repairs and support MOT testing where needed. The team is small and friendly, and you’ll be supported to develop skills and maintain high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician with hands-on workshop experience.
• Experience servicing across a variety of vehicles and diagnostics.
• Able to work independently and in a small team.
• Willingness to develop MOT where needed (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and vehicle maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out fault finding and identify causes.
• Complete general mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• Carry out brake, suspension and steering repairs.
• Replace clutches, timing belts and timing chains.
• Engine and cooling system repairs.
• Pre-MOT inspections and MOT-related repairs.
• Inspect vehicles and identify additional repairs.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
